So today was the annual nail biting day of 'Can I get the cat in her travel basket on time to take her to the vets for annual jabs' ?

Maybe more experienced cat wranglers than me can insert a wriggling reluctant feline into a cage, but I rely on blue smarties Go-Cat :D.

Cat normally gets fed on pouches, but she's wild for Go-Cat. A few practice runs in the days beforehand of shaking the kibble into the travel cage, closely followed by the cat, and we were able to have her loaded in time for her 11.00am appointment with the vet.

She was pretty well behaved for the visit, and pronounced to be a good weight. Last year I was told that she was too fat at 5.6kg. Today she weighed in at a healthy 5.0kg after I had cut down her daily intake of pouches from 4 to 3.

Phew. All done for (hopefully not before) another 12 months.

My mum used to take a towel, pick up the cat and wrap the towel around her, then walk down to the vets' surgery with the wrapped-up cat in her arms like it was a baby.

She never used a crate or box.

We’ve got a feral cat turned up at the pub. He is a dear little thing but definitely needs worming. I have opted out of the operation, two other workers who own cats are wrangling him tonight. ?
Glad your cat got the thumbs up.
