Well considering she was 4oz when she was born and we weren't sure that she'd make it, Bridget is doing extremely well!! She now, at 6 nearly 7 weeks, weighs 6lb 6oz and thinks she's the most important being on the planet

bless her. She's still obviously smaller than she should be, the others are about 3lb heavier - doesn't sound a lot but you can see it, well I can

I *think* she's stopping

Here she is just after being born, the others were 1lb or pushing 1lb and she was 4oz:

Mum's friend has also said she's a very nice shape so if she's within standard I may show her, assuming she's stopping.

Been thinking about names too. I'm happy to keep her as Bridget, it suits her, but mum doesn't like it. I've been looking at Hungarian words/names because of her breed.

So far I have:
Mazlis (pronounced Marleesh) which means "lucky"
Banya which means "mine"
Kutya which means "dog" or "canine"

Here's a pic of one of the others for comparison:

I adore Bridget, was so excited when I saw this update

She's doing really well isn't she. Of course she IS staying, how could she not??

Love the names, but I'm afraid she will always be Bridget the Midget to me - sorry echodomino's mum but I fear you may be out voted on this one

Well Mazlis is ruled out because dad doesn't like it, he says its not going to be easy to shout either.

I like Banya.

I have a feeling Bridget will stick, might just call her B for short

or Bridgy. She gets called Squidget too, just hope it doesn't stick - I am currently in the habit of calling her Squidgy!!

lmao at Squidget - thats the sort of thing I would come up with.

Banya was my favourite too. I do like dogs names that are short and snappy to shout, which is why I like Bridget cos it could easily be shortened to B or Bridge (and lengthened to Squidget Bridget the Midget
grin.gif
) My friend had a dog called "Oi"
