Some of you may have read my post on Darcy's litter and how there was an unusually small bitch puppy who we weren't sure would make it!

Well she's made it to 4 weeks of age and I'm 100% sure now that she's going to survive

(the others are doing really well too and I'll put more pics on when I've loaded them!)

She's now about the size she should have been a fortnight ago and is a right little madam! Definitely going to be spoilt and knows it. If I have my own way - which is looking likely - she's stopping

haha as well as the bitch that mum will choose - so much for not keeping 2 from the same litter again!

Any way here she is:

You can see the size she should be:

Any suggestions on names? I'm all for keeping it as Bridget but mum doesn't like it, she suggested Bijou but I don't like that! Preferably something that either means small or precious (can't be precious though as that's a friend's dog) because of how special she is, having been hand reared and we weren't sure if she'd make it!

ahhhh, she is just adorable - I would be keeping her too!! How about Tegen - means pretty little thing in Cornish.

Quite like that kibob, will add it to my list, so far it's not looking good:

Bridget
Dolly
Tegen
Bijou (but I don't like that much atm)

that's about it!

Also don't think I could let her go, having nearly lost her and then bottle feeding her on its own and with Darcy once she was strong enough to suckle - makes her more special to me.

I knew a maltese terrier called Bijou so to me it is a toy name not a gundogs. I like Tegen, but from personal experience I think she will end up as Bridget. Once they have a nickname like this they are stuck with it. My kids named a long coated GSD male puppy I bred Pom Pom as he was just a big ball of fluff as a baby. Although his new owners gave him the more dignified name of Sam he is apparently often known as Pom Pom, he is now a very large 7 yr old, embarrassing eh!

LOL, that's what happened with my JRT Jimmy - he was nicknamed that because he was a little sod and when I did some work experience in a primary school the little sod in the class was called Jimmy, so he was named after this little boy.

I wanted to change it to Milo but by the time he reached 10wks and was definitely stopping everyone else was calling him Jimmy still so it stuck. Actually prefer Jimmy to Milo but at the time I wanted a 'M' name as I already had Millie and Mouse

She's a Toy Gundog lol
