Ive been searching in vain for a new bridle for Lance, his is old now and worse for wear, however I havent found anything I like yet!

The one I did like was from CotswoldSJ and suited him, but was too small, sob!

Can anyone pretty please advise what might suit him!

This is his current one that is quite old and really needs replacing:

I even tried Beau's Kieffer one on him, but Lance makes it look fine and tacky! : (the noseband is 1 and a quater inches I think)

i love the Sabre ones, had lots for years and they're still going strong, lovely leather. they do different widths and thickness/styles of nosebands. he needs the wider, hunter-style leatherwork i think, to suit his head.
or Kate Negus saddlery does lovely bridlework, worth a look maybe.

Thank you, never heard of Kate Negus so going for a browse of the website now!
I will have a look at the Sabre ones too, there seemed to be soo many to choose from I just gave up!

I would buy a 'comfort' bridle if at all poss, esp if you're using a gag, to avoid a pressure point on the poll.

There's loads on E Bay if you search for 'comfort bridle'.

Ive tried a couple, inc Beau's Heritage one on him, but they just look too fine on him.

Big headed beast!

Albion KB bridles are quite chunky, if your wallet stretches that far, Kate Negus, Cliff Barnsby, Sabre and Sue Carson all do comfort bridles and a variety of other bridles. Isn't the Rhinegold comfort bridle more substantial than the heritage one?

Jeffries make a very nice extra-full hunter bridle, but it isn't a comfort headpiece.
Otherwise have you got a tackshop near by that will make up a bridle for you? I had to do this with Meg, as her head is too odd shaped for an off-the-peg bridle, and it was no more expensive than the jeffries/sabre options. I got a stitched noseband and browband so it's a bit more interesting than a plain hunter.

Im not bothered about a comfort headpiece TBH, he has never had one in all his 18yrs and its done him no harm!
Thank you fo all the suggestions so far!

wish it was people clothes though, and you could try loads on befoe you buy!
