Bridle coming off with soundproof ears

I recently bought my horse soundproof ears. We went for a ride this morning, then when we got back and I dismounted, he shook his head and his whole bridle came off. I want to avoid this happening whilst we are out hacking, so has anyone put the ears on top of the bridle instead of underneath? Have you done any alterations to the ears so that it can be fastened on top?

I tied mine on with small cable ties. I'm currently using a hood so have totally avoided the issue!!

Sorry I don’t have any help but this is why I stopped using bonnets
You’ll have to attach the bridle to horses hair some way

Out of interest, what hood are you using?

I have seen this happen quite a bit before at competitions.

Put a plait in top of horses mane and tie head piece to plait. Not ideal but about the only way. I don't use the ear bonnets for this reason.

Just a zilco racehorse hood. He goes just as well in it as the sound proof ears.

I put the ears on top of bridle and tied downwards to the back of the noseband. Soon got fed up and ditched it!
