Help have to put discs on my horses bridle for first time but have no idea how to do it, thought they might come with instructions

With little hooks on the front?
I think you have the same one as me, I'm never quite sure how it is 'supposed' to be put on. I attach mine to the off side cheek piece. I just wrap the elastic around the cheek piece a few times and then hook it on to the hook and then do the bottom one the opposite way around so that it stays straight!

If your horse hasn't worn one before it might be worth riding him or her in it at home first, just incase they are put off by it being there.

Actually thinking about it, the 'bridle' number it sounds like we both have is actually probably meant to go on the saddle cloths that have the holes in them! Oh well! I prefer mine because that EquiDisk thing is far too large plus it sratches my nice bridle!

Hi Ilfield, thats the ones, they have hooks on them, thanks for the tip of trying out before hand, good idea

The tack shop said they were bridle ones but who knows, will see how I get on, think it will be a bit of a Blue Peter job on the day!

Thanks for responses.

depending on ears! we tend to put the top elastic on ours above the browband to stop it slipping, not sure if same as yours tho.

i cut the elastic off and use 2 black plaiting bands on the off side throatlash. i make sure i put new bands on each time as the leather balsam will rot them over time, but a bit tidier?
