He's a hunter type, I would ideally not want to spend more than £50 :o He's not mine so don't want to spend a fortune! Not sure whether to go with the wide flat leather hunter type or if that would make his head look bigger? Here's a pic:

Doesn't have to have a flash loop, in fact would rather it didn't. Bridle would be used for dressage and (possibly) showing. I like bling :o

He's very handsome, not the "pretty" type who suits narrow leather. :)
I think big and wide is good, a plain or padded cavesson slightly high on his head will give a shortening effect.
I've asked the saddler to make the right noseband for hunter bridles before, when I wanted to show them to look their best. If you go for padded, then make sure it is self coloured.

That's a happy smiley face :). Try heritage comfort bridle from eBay, not the mattymarlow expensive ones, the cheaper heritage with the heritage label on the side of the browband are fabulous for chunky heads

You might have to go up to Xfull, but I really like my Collegiate bridle. It was about £60, and I got a separate flash noseband for £20. It's lovely and soft, well padded, and chunky enough that it looks good on my cob. Looks as nice as a hunter bridle, but a bit more 'dressagey' and can easily be blinged up

Sizing is fairly tight though!
