Bridle Lame - is it a "myth"?

Thanks again - really appreciate time taken to respond. So by way of update - saddle checked again - fine. Bridle checked - if anything too loose so tightened a little - made no difference. Checked by a "proper" physio - commented "very appropriately muscled for his age with no obvious muscle soreness anywhere". Vet back out still 1/10 to 2/10 lame under saddle but sound in a straight line :(. Vet cannot explain how he gets "more sound" if pushed forward but in his opinion it is not a balance issue there is a definite lameness. Sooo...off for a full work-up and provisional booking for an MRI. Oh joy! Do I get the award for the most unlucky new horse owner?

almostthere ....... you might have competition from me regarding unlucky horse owner!!

After an 18 year ridden break bought myself a lovely mare after a long time looking.
Bought in July 14.
Passed 5 stage vetting
after a month or so a few niggles.... snatching hind legs farrier etc
Vet finally called ... diagnoses with PSD
4 month s box rest.
3 months into box rest.... suspected mild colic
Finally admitted to hose hosp and has Peritonitis
one week later comes home on the Friday
by Sunday her face is like a balloon and she has a clot in her jugular vein - prob caused by the cannula from the peritonitis !

She is finally back in work . PSD scans etc been good and we are building her back up and see how she goes !

been a v v v stressful few months !

Oh my - you win! You poor thing (and your horse of course). Goodness me you HAVE been unlucky...fingers crossed all the bad luck is out of the way now and you continue in a healthy vein. I do sometimes wonder whether they store it all up until they reach a home where they know it will be investigated/treated....
I know it is completely irrational but it just niggles me that I see horse after horse not receiving half the care and attention that mine do (regular checks from qualified professionals, well fitted tack, appropriate and varied work for their levels of fitness, amazing facilities for work and turn out) and those less "spoiled" horses appear to go on and on and on without a blip anywhere whereas with mine STILL it all goes wrong. As I said completely irrational....;)
