I need a nice bridle for Ali which I'll probably use for dressage, and possibly showjumping in as well. It needs to be black, full size, and have a cavesson noseband (I'll just switch the noseband to a grackle for showjumping). I'd like something a bit different, but not tacky or OTT. Any recommendations?

Just so you can get an idea of what will suit him and what won't...

This photo was taken in August on my mobile hence the poor quality... Excuse his messy looking mane as well

Thanks Donkeymad

Buckybee - That's getting a tad old now... get over yourself and grow up FFS... I wasn't "pestering" you all the time after you sent me those "nasty" PMs, was I?

Hope you don't mind me butting in, but I just bought a really nicely made bridle from Heritage saddlery on ebay. A plain hunting/show bridle for my daughter's pony. I am in the States so took a chance but it was everything as described and good value even with the dollar exchange.
When it arrived I spent the whole day sniffing it

Tack shops here don't smell like English tack shops and I miss the smell of good English leather.

Think Starbucks was joking....chill out!

Think a nice raised bridle, one of the plainer Sabre bridles would look nice!!

She was, but it's an old topic and I have already been "teased" about it several times already... If it was just a once off fair enough but this isn't the first time

Thanks, will have a look at Sabre bridles now

Thanks Jess, will have a look at Jeffries bridles now

I really like the Sabre bridles actually... I could always change the browband to something a bit different but "classy"

Both Sabre and Jeffries bridles are lovely.
I also really like Albion KB's. T
he small ginger one has just had a made to order comfort bridle (Needs different sized cheek pieces and I don't like brass buckles) from Cliff Barnsby which I love and it has improved her way of going, they were really helpful and the quality of the leather is excellent.

I think that the bridle he has on would be perfect if the noseband was wider. A proper hunting weight bridle would suit him down to the ground.
