I did have an equidisc, but found it scratched my bridle (although it was a wide hunter bridle, but I now have an expensive bridle and dont want it ruined), and wouldnt fit on very well, and in the end (after about 2 uses), the bit of plastic broke as I was trying to put it on. Just wondering what the alternatives are, or if i will just have to get another one.

You can use numbers on your saddlecloth instead

First time I used the disc I scratched my bridle too

Have learnt to do it backward and then you only scratch the underside and not the top

Mine are german ones - disc shaped and velcro onto the bridle numbers have little legs on and snap through the disc then another plastioc trim snaps on to that - don't know what make they are but I know Morgan Equine had them at Burghley - maybe on the online shop

Mines the same....really good and you get two discs in the box. I dont know what its called either but in a screw top circular plastic container with a yellow label.

Yeah- I know what you mean about the Equidisc- I found it too big and bulky. I now use small numbers with elastic fastening that simply loop round the bridle and attach to 2 very small hooks. They are really neat, you get 2 in a pack and they cost no more than £5.00. But sorry I can't remember the make but I know its foreign! I'll try to jog my memory!...

I use the ones that go on the saddle cloth. You stitch one half of the velcro onto the saddle cloth and then just 'stick' the number on the clean saddle cloth after washing! I think Eskadron do them.
