Bridle Reccomendations!

Cool :) I'll check it out, also do you know how dark is the leather when it's in Havana? I like the quality of Harry Dabbs, they make Jaguar don't they? But I guess they're v. Expensive?

And thanks, I hope I find the right bridle - If not I'm going to talk to Issi Russell, her bespoke bridles are stunning!

The Elevator I had (one of the first models) did not have a padded poll, but the noseband went up outiside the headpiece. The Passier does have a lovely soft padded poll and the same round the noseband, which is wider than than the Elevator noseband.

Argh, just realised the Passier is even more expensive than The Elevator...:( it is stunning though :)

I found a Blingy brown band on Dressage Deluxe, I'm probably going to get an Elevator but I do like the Passier! Are the Nosebands very thick? :)

Do you mean thick padding or thick band?

They are nicely padded, can look a little heavy depending on your horse's head.

They will do narrower though, and mine is not a crank.

Sorry, I meant thick band! He's got a slim but big...? If that makes sense! Tbh his head looks a bit like the horses modelling the Havana flash bridle! :)

I have an elevator and IMO i really don't like it. Leather is the worst out of all my bridles by far. Faded leather which has majourly stretched (even though I don't oil it) and padding is not soft at all.

If you want a comfort bridle in the £100 price bracket get a sabre cordoba. Recommended it to my friend as well and she loves it too.

Or you could get an evison bridle? I am saving up for a drop rolled patent snaffle for my baby pony.

Aah, I really like Evison Equine bridles and Sabre bridles - haven't heard a bad thing about them apart from the fact maybe the leather isn't extremely soft but usually some TLC can fix that! I'm probably getting an Evison Equine since their apparently almost Albion quality and I have an Albion KB snaffle which still looks amazing :)

Haha ;) I thought they were perfect for my inner bling diva :D Are they very padded? :)

Yup! They're lovely haha :D my horse has a stupid sized head (too small for full (you have to punch extra holes) and too big for cob) and it fits him well, the padding is great, the reins it comes with are really good as well! well worth the money i'd say! here's a little picture of my horse modelling it ;)

What a handsome lad! :) he looks great in it, how expensive are they?? And what sort of reins do they come with? I need it in Havana/brown though and am not sure what colour it'll come up? Thanks :)

haha thanks :D I got mine for £180 so not the most expensive but initially I went into the store for a hoof pick so you can see why i say worth the money :p They come with 'soft feel' rubber reins. With regards to the colour, I got black but this is one of their other bridles in brown so I imagine it would be the same colour?

They're very smart but I was looking for either £100 or go full out bespoke! :) I really like them though but have been speaking to someone from Don Harry - I'm either getting something from Evison Equine or Don Harry as her bridles cost the same as my Albion so I really like that! :)

Hey everyone, thank you so much for all your comments! I've actually just ordered a Don Harry Bespoke bridle and I'm super excited! I'll try upload a picture when it arrives! :)

I'm so glad you pushed the boat out, Raphaella's bridles are scrummy! Did you get a bling browband too?

They look amazing! I really liked the wavy pearl one or the sapphire one but my brother and dad said that they were too girly! I'm going to get one from there when I can afford one as I split for the bridle! :)

Ohh...The Don Harry stuff is exactly what I'm after! Been bridle searching for ages and havnt been able to find what I want...

Do you mind me asking what you ordered and what you paid? PM if you prefer... :)

There's a Don Harry FB page with lots of lovely photo's. Raphaella is lovely to deal with and you will not be disappointed with her work. I am gradually replacing my Kate Negus bridles with Don Harry - I love them!
