Looking for a bridle recommendations - anatomical and either cavason or removable flash. Ideally not too wide nose band, he's not got a massive head and not patent.

I have been looking at Henry James, schokemohle, ps of sweden, PE and Lemeuix. I ideally don't want to spend more than 150 but can pick some up second hand.

He's just in a bog standard bridle at the moment, he has never been sensitive and goes very well in his current set up but has a new saddle so moving to black tack

Thanks

I love my Lemieux work bridle for one of mine but I do find the sizing is a little on the small side. I’m just lucky the horse I got it for has quite a fine head so cob size just fit but usually he’d be a very comfortable cob size with room to go up and down.

Ecorider do have a nice anatomical bridle range that you can mix and match attachments on but I’ve never tried it myself just seen a friend had it on a hack. Henry James Saddlery also have fabulous well crafted pieces also.

For me, a lot of bridles are very much the same but the most important pieces to look out for are the nice padded headpiece and making sure buckles and straps are avoiding those facial nerves… but I am very particular about bridles because I currently have some of the most sensitive horses in for schooling/selling at the moment so every little detail matters!!! The most sensitive of all of my horses’ bridle is actually in a mix and match of headpiece/noseband/cheek pieces from other random bridles, sometimes that is the way 😂

We had this very issue today. New little Connie has a short fat pony head (very pretty) but difficult to get the fancy dressage style bridle to work on him. He should have a work man like cob style bridle ideally made to measure but not my pony so hoping he’ll get used to his new headgear.

Diva has a vortex bridle - it’s beautiful, the headpiece isn’t too thick, and the woman who makes them is lovely. i needed pony cheek pieces on a cob bridle, i just sent her my order number on facebook messenger and she swapped them for me!

I've got an English bridle bridle ??
Its very good quality and they were very helpful with sizing (swapping parts etc). I've had mine a few years now and it still looks good x

I have gone for a schokemohle monza C in gold and black and it's not available for 30 days 🥺🥺

I'm popping into redpost tomorrow Incase I change my mind in store haha

I have a 2nd hand schokemohle bridle (lucky me) as the leather stretched so much in 6 months it stopped fitting the horse it was bought for. Beautiful bridle, but make sure you have room for adjustment as very spendy for something that wont fit after a while.
