Please can anyone give me advice or recommendations on good quality bridles? I have around £100 to spend, and the bridle would be used on an everyday basis and also for competitions. Don't want something ridiculously expensive because silly horse likes breaking things!

I've been looking at Stubben bridles on eBay and there are some 'Stubben CTDs' which are apparently an offshoot of Stubben? Does anyone know if this is actually Stubben or just some sort of fake copy?

Advice anyone?
Thanks in advance

the ctd is the stubben economy range. i like the cliff barnsby combination bridle it has a soft padded head piece and the nosebandis interchangeable onto straps without going over the head. this is around the £100 mark.

I can't seem to find a Barnsby Combination bridle. Is it the Quick Change Bridle? The website says that is £200...

Thanks

Not sure on Jeffries though - last time I spent £120 on a Jeffries bridle it only took horse a few weeks to break the headpiece, which was a pain.

Sabre.
Mine is years old and is still going strong. I'm about to buy a new bridle (only because new saddle is brown, and old tack is black) and that will be sabre aswell.

Sabre, i have 1 Sabre Eton and 2 Eton double bridles, the leather is excellent quality and lasts really well, i buy mine direct from Sabre

Another sutbben fan here!.

I have the 1000 split head range to but i added a big poll comfot pad to mine ( without it the throat lash at the split head bit used to rise and stick up ).

Im in love with it it still look like new after 3 years.

yes it is called the quick change bridle sorry. ive had a look on the website and the one for £200 includes all 3 nosebands i bought mine from throstle nest saddlery south yorkshire with just a flash noseband and it was just short of £100 may be worth giving them a ring if your interested.
