Shoppers I need your help!

Im on the hunt for a new bridle for my mare but I’m having no so such luck!

I’m after a black cob size with fancy stitch. I want a nice padded headpiece and noseband - preferably flash so the option is there. Nothing too clunky as she’s very fine. I am looking for good quality leather so I don’t want any of the Indian stuff

max budget of £150-170

mice really struggled to find a bridle that isn’t a crank noseband or has the fancy stitching so I’m hoping someone has seen some on their travels!

It's a Shires avignon something or other, has an ergonomic headpiece and white stitching ( but not the pattern on the noseband type of stitching) and white stitching on the leather part of the rubber reins. Has a clever sort of detachable tab to make it into a flash, so if you use it as a caressing noseband, there is no tab left. I've had mine at least 5 years, daily use, and still looks good. Lovely and soft leather from the beginning too.

oh ok I’ll definitely have a look for one of these! I like the sound of the detachable flash so I’ve not got a flash loop on show when I’m flatting and hacking

I have the Avignon, I like it but it does fit a bit odd.. Extra Full martingale which is too small and a full bridle which is too big.. considering he doesn't fit in any full size headcollars or anything.

I found the Avignon a weird fit. I’ve got the grackle.
XF - all too big on my definitely XF ISH
FS - fitted mostly but the grackle still to big, gave up at this point and put new holes in.

that being said I really like it!

Actually, now you've said this, I dimly remember having to buy the cob cheek pieces separately, but i thought that was just my odd horse, this is normal for my horse, it's full size top half of head, pony size bottom half!

And now you’ve said that....i bought I bought pony cheek pieces so that I could use with a 3 ring gag. (Normal cheek pieces it came with fine with snaffle)

that bridle was a faff on start to finish but I do like it! I use it for speedy work
