bridle sizing

I'd ask a saddlers to make one up for you - can you get rough measurements of the browband, noseband and cheekpieces to take with you?
I have to do this with mine - she needs an extra full browband, full size noseband and headpiece, and cob cheek pieces... It didn't work out any more expensive, just means I can't buy off-the-shelf stuff for her, or have to mix and match!

is a bit awkward really my tb mare has cob headstall/cheekpieces, full noseband and full reins. but it depend on what bit your using, as some like mine (3ring dutch gag with lozenge ) need shorter cheek pieces than your bog standard snaffle. it can be a bit mix and match.

Lol, I have to buy shettie cheek pieces, pony / cob noseband (and have more holes added as he's only a shettie in headpiece but has a huge muzzle) and pony browband. I find buying pieces off ebay works for me, and we now have numerous bridles which have no use to us or anyone else..... but a couple of fab bridles which actually fit him well!

Take the measurements over the head lip to lip, and round the face where the throatlash, browband and noseband would go and then hit the tackshop with your tapemeasure. Worked for me on my fine headed NF pony. I couldn't decide whether he would be cob or pony size! Different makes come up differently.

A special shettie! I've now got a huge collection of xf browbands as I can't stop buying them when I spot them...

OP - if you've got a good local saddler, then also take a photo of your horse's head in with you so that they can help you decide on style and sizing.
