Can anyone suggest me a nice bridle to buy or some to Internet look at and plan for when I've paid my vet bill and can afford such things 🤣

I want black, it's for a TB but not a dainty faced one, he's fairly substantial. I like comfort type headpieces but possibly not essential. I'd say just a cavesson but am happy with a flash as obviously don't have to use it but actually I do put a flash on for somethings so either! Also found it's all but impossible to find a non flash bridle!
Budget £80-£120 ish

Other horse had a Jefferies Wembley which I like but it's cob size and just a bit too tight round the ears, for this horse Not sure if full would be too big though as it's only marginally tight!

I have an English Bridles one which was about that sort of money. They do a detachable flash strap so plain cavesson is doable, and they do a mix and match service so you can have the right size. I've had mine since last summer and the leather is just gorgeously soft. I took a bit of a gamble buying it without seeing one but compared to the quality of the other bridles I was looking at like Mark Todd the difference was huge.

I highly recommend English Bridles. Such helpful customer service and you can mix and match parts to get almost a bespoke bridle. Mine had been hanging up in my stable since last July, unused as my mare died. Last weekend, I gave it a quick once over with Renapur leather cleaner and balm, and it's like new. Lovely, buttery soft leather.

I have two Evison comfort bridles, they are within budget, decent quality and available with a variety of noseband. I have a plain cavesson with no flash loop and a drop. They will also mix and match parts for size if you need them too.

I purchased an unbranded bridle off of fleabay a few years ago and when it arrived it was the softest bridle I had ever felt. It had the name salamo on the browband. Since then I have never looked back the leather quality is amazing and they now do a range of different bridles for a reasonable price. They have a comfort bridle with completely removable flash attachment which suits me as I have really struggled to find a nice quality bridle with no flash attachment for a sensible price. I would recommend

English Bridles also fab for me. You can send measurements to ensure you get the right fit - mine was perfect, arrived within a couple of days and feels lovely. They also do 2 types of comfort headpiece (cut back and not), and do a couple of noseband widths with or without flash loop :)

try preloved for some nice quality second hand! otherwise, I like to go in the tack shop and see the leather, as you can pay a lot for the brand, and the quality is pretty crap.

I have a lovely Jaguar bridle (now Harry Dabbs - same product just different brand since they were take over). Was just over £100 new but can get cheaper used. Got mine off ebay, fantastic soft supple leather with a comfort head piece - very smart. Highly recommended.

I have this one:

It's a nice bridle and they'll also make it to any size you want (although that process was a bit of a palaver for me ...!)

Another vote for English Bridles from me. I also have the flat padded bridle (linked in above quote). Had it about 2 years now, use it for everyday and for competitions. Cleans up like brand new every time, great quality.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
