Hello! I am thinking of getting a new bridle for my mare. She is an akhal teke with a very fine head- although she is 16 hands she often takes a pony size. She currently has an old sabre bridle but I am looking for something a bit smarter. I was thinking of getting a stubben 3000 or 1600- any other suggestions of brands which are nice for horses with smaller heads? She is also very sensitive- I tried a jeffries on her once and it rubbed her quite badly. Any thoughts/suggestions much appreciated!

Frank baines do lovely fine bridles in really soft leather, expensive but look alot nicer than the stubben imo.

thanks! how abtou sizing? I usually have to punch a couple of extra holes in a cob size (though not in the sabre one) and it would be great to find another make that fits on the small side...

I also have this problem, mine takes a full size but has a fine head (narrow etc.) so I find the nosebands etc. are often way too chunky. So will be interested in the replies :P I was thinking the split head Stubbens as well.
