Bridles help

Hiya Everyone, when would you use a grackle bridle? I have my youngster in a kimblewick as she's so strong. I don't want to put a stronger bit in. I was told a grackle can help is this true? I've heard people say they've gone back to using a snaffle with a grackle.

If you want to deal with one problem by using something to keep her mouth closed rather than spending time schooling and educating your young mare so she softens then a grackle may help but it is really just swapping one gadget for another , get a good instructor to help you, it may be that you can find a snaffle she does soften to without the need to use a different noseband, it usually takes two to be strong so look at what you can do to lighten her up in normal schooling or hacking situations and keep the stronger bit for when you really need it.
