Just wondering, you see all these fancy new 'comfort' bridles and such advertised, but do they REALLY make any difference?!

And I'm not just talking about silly amounts of padding... heheh. I would like to consider, at some point, buying a nice bridle (for competing) or just a better one for every day use - if such a thing exists! We all want the best for our horses right?

also, it would have to exist in black, cob size, and be fairly narrow overall as for a fine TB-type head! but... I'm curious, have you found one that's better even if they don't come like that!?

my welsh used to headshake terribly until i changed her into a comfort headpiece bridle, she doesnt do it anymore, so it has def worked for my girly, it wasnt expensive, its a cotswold sport one with coloured padding, so not as ur looking for

I have both, use one for riding and one for lunging (although have used both at some point for both riding and lunging) and havent noticed any difference at all.

I have always found it slightly ironic that most of the "comfort" bridles come with those horrid crank nosebands.

Don't look very comfortable to me!

Totally agree!
A nice thick plain noseband and a loose ring french link snaffle on a zilco or good quality leather bridle is my idea of comfort for the horse, and if you want to use a flash and crank, try a dropped noseband instead, far kinder and more effective.
