Bridles / Showing

Should my 3 year old be wearing a plain bridle for showing classes, i was told to keep his browband plain for sports horse classes, but i thought i'd read somewhere that hunters should be shown with a coloured browband? does anyone know what is expected as standard. Also what about futurity, plain?

Hiya! You are right to keep it plain for hunter classes, coloured browbands go on riding horses and even more colourful ones on hacks! Same goes for pony classes!
