It's my birthday coming up, and I've been offered the bridle of my choice- within reason!

So, any recommendations? I've always loved Stubbens, so if I go downthis route, which one?

It's got to be havana/dark brown or whatever they call it now, and it must have billets not buckles on cheekpieces etc. I need a flash noseband, and would like padded noseband and browband- possibly also head piece. Can't stand bridles that ave a nose band much wider than browband, and these won't suit delicate mare anyway.

Thanks all!! left over chinese take away, with a decent chardonnay and after eight mints on offer.

The Elevator bridle is smart, and not a bad price either! It has a padded crank noseband and headpiece, and they do one with a flash.

how about having one made to measure to your spec. A good traditional saddler should be able to do this for you and it willl probably last you a lifetime so money well spent

i love Sabre bridles, have lots that look as good as new after decades (literally) of daily use.
otherwise, Stroud Saddlery do an IR bridle (named after designer, Isabelle something) which is beautifully shaped and padded around the ears/headpiece. they will do whatever style you choose - e.g. i had brass chain browband and matching cavesson, all padded. took a while to soften but a really lovely hand-made bridle to treasure for years.
