I know this question gets asked alot but I have been a very lucky girl and have been given a good few penies for my birthday. Hairball has been a very good boy and so I thought I would treat him to a new bridle. Lucky boy!

I really like the Otto Shumacher bridles but have heard good things about Crosby bridles too. I dont like Stubbens and I currently have a Collegiate which i HATE !!! (dont buy them - the dye NEVER stops running and they look really shabby very quickly).

Other problem is he is an XF and not all brands do this size...

Thoughts gratefully recieved!!!:p

I like Fylde, Albion and Barnsby. I love Otto schumacher leatherwork and would have all my tack in this brand if I could becasue it's fantastic quality and very hard wearing.

Love my Elevator bridle with the padded head piece. Horse goes really well in it and its really soft and supple. Not cheap but well worth it.

I would choose all the different reasons I like different bridles.........and have one made with all the elements I liked in the right size.

In fact I'm just about to :¬)

i was in the same position a manoth ago. sooooo much choice i was like ahhhh! i couldn;t see them in person either as all the saddlerys by me are rubbish.
In the end got an elevator and i am so glad i did! it is gorgeous and the padding is soooo soft! my sensitive tb mare loves and goes a lot softer in the hand now. It looks really good on her as well cos its quite chunky but not overly.
i think the albion kb and kieffer are exact copies of the the elevator but it depends which design of nose band etc would suit your horse.
if i were to get another (which i will be for my youngster next year) i will either get him another elevator (which i am definitely leaning towards!) or a sabre cordoba.

Have you looked at the Jeffries ones? Can't remember what mines called but it has a padded/cutout headpiece and raised brow and noseband. Lots of people mention how nice it looks and it's lasted for as long as I've had my horse - six years! I don't need a 'nice' bridle because the Jeffries comes up good as new after a quick clean!

I have an Elevator and a Heritage and Rhinegold one for every day which to be honest they look exactly the same as the Elevator!

I know how you feel, it can be so difficult deciding what to buy!-A few weeks ago I decided to treat my horse to some extra bling(he's XF and in some makes he takes a full size) and treated him to a new bridles for shows but didn't want to spend too much money, I couldn't decide what to get him so in the end I bought him an Eqvvs Stowe dressage bridle-it sounds yukky in that it has a bit of patent on the noseband and the browband is curved with black crystals, but it really does suit him as he is black!, the headpiece is nice and shaped and padded too- am really pleased with it, if you google you will see it!
Also Classic Dressage had nice XF crystal dressage bridles (think they were Otto Schumacher but I may be wrong!) in their sale for about £125 I think which looked very nice as well!

Good luck, hope your horse likes his new bridle!
