Hi
Im looking for a nice snaffle bridle for my young wb. Im in Aust and we do not have a good range of QUALITY bridle so ill be buying from UK probably.
At the moment im considering Stubben (in particular the 3300 Galway with brass fittings), Sabre or Jeffries. I really like the brass on my boy, and would have gone jeffries except i hear they no longer do brass. So now i cant decide, especially since i cant compare the bridles in person.
The horse will mature 16.1hh, is Aust WB, is brown with 4 socks and star/stripe/snip - so plenty of white. Therefore i dont want anything too 'fancy'. And it has to be black (to match saddle).

Any opinions greatly appreciated!!!

Both my horses have had Stubben bridles for a long time. They are well made from quality leather & providing you clean them occasionally will last years & continue to look good.

I cant recommend Jeffries or Dever enough.

My horse has a bridle from each, an IR bridle from Jeffries and a comfort bridle from Dever.

Dever will change nosebands to suit your requirements and they are very helpful.

I also really like the Jeffries IR bridle on my boy, but I have also just bought him an Albion KB bridle which apparently is being delivered today!

His everyday bridle is a kieffer - I have used this everyday for about 4 yrs and it still looks brand new. I hardly ever have to clean it (I hate cleaning tack). The only problem is that it has silver fittings - I think the problem is that most black bridles have silver fittings, and the havana ones have brass.

I would also look at Kate Negus - they are lovely.

If you are really stuck I know someone who will make bridles to order and are reasonably priced and will send to Australia - pm if you want her contact details!
