We only have 2 of them, luckily with no hedges near and enough room either side, but they are narrow and I have nearly taken my leg off on it, first time I went through it bashed roos bum 
I rarely go that way.
Instead we have to go over lots of what I call styles, 2 logs close together to step over, to stop motor bikes (it doesn't work, they lift the bikes over.
