Rang Brightwells today to see if the catalogue for next week will be online, only to be told that they are only available for purchase £5. I am looking for a 1-2yo colt/gelding as a playmate for a yearling colt I am running on, and if I have got to buy something then it may as well be nice and worth something as a 4yo, so thought this might be somewhere worth looking.

Just remind me everyone, we are in the 21st century, aren't we?

I have downloaded their catalogue before so they may have changed it? I will have a look through and see if I can remember where and how I found it. I have a yearling Warmblood filly and a 5 yo mare if you are looking?

Sorry, just tried, they have definitely changed it this year.

It's got to be a boy to keep my colt company for as long as possible. My problem is he is the only boy other than a very large 2yo who is too much of a ruffian.
Am very miffed that I can't look at a catalogue online. Would have seriously considered travelling down with trailer, but not without seeing what might be there. Am probably cutting off my nose to spite my face not paying for a catalogue, but I just don't see why they can't put it online, especially as entries are pre-booked

I think they are the ones cutting their noses off not you!

IMHO they should do what the german oldenburg and hannoverian verbands do and stick up an online catalogue with videos etc, that way you only go if its worth it but if its worth it you will go. After all it is 2011.... !

Are you looking for a Welsh or a horse?

They put videos on their web site for the Stars of the Future Sales in August and November, so it's not that they aren't up-to-date. They either can't be bothered for the other sales, or want to ensure they sell catalogues I guess.
