I was just having a look at some of the horses from end of last year and some were reasonably cheap (or what they are_ and quite a few failed to sell- One is advertised at 5k but is now being sold somewhere else for 8k! MMMM... I wonder how much that 3 year old has done. Has anyone bought from here? It looks like one of those sales where you sit at a table drinking wine and waving a card in the air

Some great horses have come from Brightwells. I was lucky enough to go to the auction in November and it really was a great night. They all go in with a reserve, but some dont. I remember a great looking chestnut went for £5k, for some reason didnt have a reserve. All of them have 5 stage vetting and x rays before going to auction. Great night out, but as with all auctions there is an element of risk.

I went, rode the horses I liked (and in my price bracket) (they will tell you the price they think it will make) over 2 days and then went in the evening, sat at a table, drank large volumes of wine , closed my eyes, at the last minute waved my hand, lost the horse to someone else BUT for some reason this was not a bid and I was offered the horse.... bought a horse!!!!!!!!! Great fun!!!! VERY EXCITING and will probably never ever do it again as I am a one horse owner.... but something I would love to do again and again!!!!!
