Brilliant ride - and aren't some people lovely???

I'm working at an event yard at weekends and my boss said I could take my horse over there to use the school if I wanted to, so last night I did. There is also a livery yard there and one of the liveries said she would help me out if she was around (she jumps Fox on her mare so she knows her stuff). Got there last night and after I'd warmed up she came over and put some poles out etc and chatted to me about the problems I was having - I freeze on the way into the fence cos I can't see a stride and then panic we are going to stop

Anyway, she was helping me for about an hour and by the end of it my horse was going beautifully and I was feeling confident popping over a 3ft double

I really had a great time and it felt like it had all come together!

I offered her some money for teaching me and she said not to worry about it

then when I got back to the yard she rang to make sure I had got back ok and said if I want anyone to come with me when I take him out to a comp once we've had a bit more practice, she would come with me and coach me!!!

How nice was that?? My weekend Boss also said she'd give me some lessons as a kind of bonus for working and I could use the school when I liked - I'm still on a high this morning!

I just feel so lucky at the moment - I'm on a great yard with a lovely YO, the people at work are just so helpful!

I just couldn't believe it when she spent all that time with me, then rang to make sure I was ok!

Wow what lovely people. I have people like that at my yard. I am so lucky, they are always around to help when I need some advice and one of the ladies came down to the school and shouted a dressage test at me the toher day which was a huge help!

Good to know there are some nice people left in this world!
