Bring back Lucretia Campaign

really? which law school did you go to? If Lucretia had a conversation with a person which she repeats in part, that is not slander, that is just one personns word against another. I think I said on the other thread that if you look at all the timings then that rider MUST have been in hospital when point two spoke to her and considering the her well documented injuries, must have been on pain killers and in a high dependency ward at least, unless people with multiple spine fractures get discharged within ten days fit as a fiddle.
But regardless of that KW33, Lucretia was not even warned about that thread, nor about any of the others. Go on facebook and ask her if you like. A summary ban after a virtual threat from Admin is not hardly fair is it?
and it will take a bit of time but if you can be bothered to work your way through all the stuff, you will find that L did not start a single thread with Point two in the title which is why it took so long for me to find the ones to which you refered, which were both called an interesting fact i think. in which she just stated a fact in the OP and then other people discussed them.
Still doesnt seem like a good reason for a ban to me.
 
Urrrmmmmm hellloooo everybody, I thought this was ment to have been a thread to convince Admin to let Lucretia back in, but it seems to be that it has turned into a slanging match that is doing her not much justice. If you dont like what was said, or have a grudge against any comments she made, take it up with Admin direct. As my OH would say, grow some balls and stop being childish!!

Certainly don't read this as being a slanging match - just another example of debate and argument, made on the whole by some very intelligent posters.
 
I have never claimed to have been to have been to law school
. If you were to reread that post you would see that I said IMO (In my opinion) and that the claims made by Lu could have been *perceived* to be slanderous. I've never stated that they were.

I justify what I said by this definition of slander "Any intentional false communication, either written or spoken, that harms a person's reputation; decreases the respect, regard, or confidence in which a person is held; or induces disparaging, hostile, or disagreeable opinions or feelings against a person."

In that thread where Lu said that point2 had taken the statement from Faith Cook, Faith Cook actually posted and said that her account was false.

I have no intention of contacting Lucretia on facebook for a start why on earth would I want to give a complete internet stranger access to personal details and pictures of my family .

As I have stated several times throughout the forum it is sad that she has been banned. She brought a lot to the place. I enjoyed reading her posts, I did often agree with her on many issues (escept perhaps the point2

We all ticked the box agreeing to the rules and regs of the place, if HHO want to bring in a rule saying we all have to end our posts with a big sloppy kiss then if we want to post here then that is what we have to do

how can Lucretia's account be entirely false or else did point two get their statement so fast? and you dont have to share anything on facebook, you could just message her and ask. I did, although I am now an 'official friend.!
anyway you keep refering back to a thread that Admin deemed acceptable, and therefore has not much to do with this ban does it?

However, the principle is good. The OP was implying that since proportionately few people cared about the situation (or at least, saw fit to make a fuss about it) ergo the situation was not an important one.

Lordie, which facebook are you on? the one i am on only allows the people i choose to see my page and that only has the detals i put on it. and you can message anyone without revealing anything other than your basic profile.
 
Sorry, but how can HHO ban her? All they can do is ban her from registering from her IP address. This person can EASILY get back on here if she wanted to. She can simply use a different computer and re-register with a different name. Or if she cannot access another computer, she could try googling "IP spoof" for more details...!!

Im unsure exactly the reason why L got banned. Ive read some of her posts but didn't see this one in particular. Either way HHO Admin need to seriously chill out or risk alienating everyone on here for voicing their opinions.

Not read all the posts, but my 2 cents are thus. I do think it was a definite overreaction to ban lucretia.

However, admin have turned a blind eye countless times to permanently banned members returning under a new alias, so I can't imagine it will be any different in this case.
 
do h and hwant to turn us into a group of robots?without ideas opinions or for that matter brains.do they think we are all stupid?this was a very cynical action by h and h.i for one will not be buying the mag again.i completely disagree with these type of tactics.after all were not living in nazi germany are we?

The world would be a very boring place if we all agreed exactly with each other. L was a popular, committed and knowlegable member of this forum.

i wish i was. her life is much more interesting than mine. I am an accountant who happily hacks! She really helped out a friend of mine on here so I always read all her posts although I havent posted myself before this. I was just so angry and i still am as it is very unfair and Admin are not listening to the members. I feel very strongly about this subject.

So have I - several. One of my points to admin was their one sided approach to Point 2. Lucretia said nothing litigious in her postings on the threads about them. Her postings as always are frank, to the point, informative, and often enlightening and I know she has helped many people. I do wonder if the request to bar her came from somewhere other than admin???

I also questioned the blatant forum rule breaking by Point 2 continuously. Why are they allowed to post a link to their website in their signature when others are not? I see a couple of threads started over the past couple of days directing people to other commercial sites have been censored though. Why? Oh of course it was not Point 2.

BRING BACK LUCRETIA.
 
I too would like to see her re-instated as a member of this community. To be honest I would be surprised if she were to return after being so unfairly treated by admin. Mairi. Zeitgeist
