Hi all,
So basically my question is what do you think the best way is to bring a pony back into work?
At the yard i go to there is a lovely pony who is without a rider as her owner went off to uni and gave her to the YO, she has been out of work for quite a while now apart from once when i rode her about 4months ago and came off. I'am the only one small enough at the yard to ride her and hate to see such a lovely pony going to waste, when if she was bought back into work she would be a lovely pony for someone. So today me and the YO agreed i would bring her back into work for him. We are very fortunate to have great hacking close by and i have been assured she is a dream round the woods, as many other liveries have hacked out with her and her previous owners. She is sensitive in the mouth and will chuck a little buck or rear in here and there but is generally very well behaved although she is a little bit nervous at the moment due to lack of handling (I was thinking some grooming sessions with her to build up some bonds). We have a school which would be where i'd mainly ride her eventually but would build up to hacking again.
Any help appreciated:)
