New coblet hasn’t been ridden for seven months. I’m not worried she’ll be difficult but would love a plan to follow to get her started again. In hand first?

Microcob had about 14 months off with the foal.

We did a little bit of in hand work but I quite quickly moved to light hacking - her lunging is dire and she just wanted to gallop round madly. Until the pollen allergy problems I was mixing up hacking and short schooling sessions and her mum tum was finally beginning to shift.

Definitely in hand first. I'm not an expert at all, but have rehabbed. I would try some in hand with maybe some long reining in enclosed areas. My little cob lunges with 2 reins but not 1 so its handy to do some circles and straight lines. Build her up. If you can take her out in hand as well (long reining/ in hand) and build it up. I always think a little bit every day is better than once or twice a week for an hour. I'm sure you will be able to do some light hacking quickly with her but you can judge that when you start working with her. She looks very sweet :)
