Bringing in after dark

I also find that having turnout rugs with a reflective strip makes life a lot easier
The Rambos show up really well, often the reflective tail and front strips are all I can see in the field if the neds are a distance away.

Re angling head torches so that the beam points down. My new headtorch has a choice of positions and you click it into the angle you want. I find it much easier to see what I'm doing when I move the strip grazing after dark than I did with my old, fixed position head torch. I can get the beam to point downwards rather than straight ahead.

The hardest thing about bringing in the the dark was finding my Horse! She was the last one out too! she would often be in the middle of the field somewhere grazing. In the end I had to resort to sewing some reflectives on her rug just so I could spot her!

Yep, Dave & his chum were last in & usually at the FAR side of a big field. Not hanging by the gate, like you'd expect, but blumming yonks away!
