hi,

i was wondering if anyone could recommend an instructor in the above areas?

i enjoy dressage mostly but along the more classical lines, and my horse shows talent for dressage. i've had several medical problems with my horse that has left a few 'unusual' ridden characteristics, which some instructors might deem as "being naughty" so i need a sympathetic instructor that's not going to tell me to "give her a good smack" - had plenty of those that didn't last long!

in general i just want to get out of a rut, get inspired and hopefully start going to a few local competitions again.

thanks very much,
gemma

Teresa Tanner is lovely, I havent had lessons for a year though as my horse has been off work. I can give you her number if you PM me? I know she can be quite busy...well she was a year ago!

I think Brigid Grant is brilliant. She'd like you to do everything correctly but totally understands that doesn't work for some horses, and finds ways around problems like you describe. She is also amazingly good value, and will come to you to teach. She has a mixture of eventing and pure dressage pupils over a wide age range. We've been using her for years and we love her - and my daughter gets excellent results!

yes, that would be good, thanks

She is absolutely fab, would recommend her to anyone! I dont seem to have her number but try Swindon & District Riding Club - they'll put you onto her

Hayley Watson-Greaves - fab rider & a really good instructor. She produces young horses to young horse champs, regionals & nationals every year & has been very good with my baby horses & a very quirky mare. Her website is http://www.wgdressage.co.uk/

try Tanya Nevile - Wootton Bassett based - really good instructor - events and dressages herself too - I always thinks it's good when a trainer can get on and ride too
