If you get offered a second hand HS1 hatbag/hat; some teeny-tiny gloves or some second hand spurs in the near future, please do let me know. I'm guessing the second hand market for used hairnets isn't huge but there was one of those in there too! There were 3 different sets of spurs and 3 pairs of gloves in it. Not all the spurs had straps.

My hat bag with said items in (along with a card in it from someone thanking me for helping them :() has gone awol from my yard. Very random - god knows why that and only that. It was there on Friday, came back from a weekend at Burghley and went to ride today and it had gone. I hope that it has just been 'misplaced' but it lives in the same place and is not randomly in my car/lorry/house, so I haven't obviously put it anywhere, and it doesn't seem to be on the yard either.

I know it is vindictive of me, but I can't help hoping that if it *was* nicked, the person uses the hat and falls on their head, because I was shopping for a replacement at Burghley! Didn't find one though, and am eventing on Friday, so about to file a report with the police and put in an insurance claim *tedious*. I can't help but wonder if someone picked up the bag and thought it sounded like there was cash in it because of the spurs though!! That'll be a disappointment to them - a smelly hat, with a crap velvet I've had since I was 12, some old gloves, spurs and a card. Oh and a hairnet. Lovely!

Will put this in competition riders too.

Livery - but there is absolutely no way it was anyone on the yard. No-one has seen it or moved it that I've spoken to so far :(

It's such a really odd thing to nick though - which makes me think I have left it somewhere - but it doesn't seem to be anywhere obvious :(

How annoying

Hope you manage to find it, I'll keep an eye out.

To be fair I think it is the first thing ever to disappear, normally stuff is totally safe there. It isn't anywhere I can see on the yard, in my house, in my car or in my lorry. I've sort of run out of ideas as to where to look now! :)

It does seem odd that some tealeaf wandering onto a livery yard would choose an old hat to steal ;) But there's nowt so queer as folk. Do people buy second hand hats? Would think it's pretty dodgy, for this precise reason!
