Unbelievable!!!

The horse public are not allowed a voice - on ROLLKUR/BLUE TONGUE/DYING FOR DRESSAGE/ PATRIK KITTEL

British Dressage and other websites including Hickstead, Dressage Contacts Worldwide etc...have decided to close their forums - on the ridiculous notion that kittle and sweden equestrian federation are being investigated by the FEI - SO WHAT!!

Investigation into malpractice is what is supposed to happen - if its against the rules? - Which lets face it is for all the world to see on a youtube video.

I do hope good old Horse and Hounds wont let the side down and squash FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE SEND COMMENTS TO THE YOUTUBE BLUE TONGUE VIDEO SITE - we can make our opinions known on a free world stage...just not in the UK apparently

voice your displeasure on BD!

Something to hide to the general public/press maybe? It would put the sport in a bad light if people start discussing it. Never mind horse welfare, we must save face approach.

Cant say i approve

As the FEI are investigating the above incident any action could be compromised by careless comments on internet forums.

As BD is an FEI member they are bound by FEI rules and that will include any comment on an ongoing investigation.

Sorry to play Devil's Advocate here but if there is some sort of legal action going on or an investigation, they may not want anyone to be influenced by comments they see on a website.

Also, those sites may not particularly want to get sued because they have carried someone else's libellous comment.
IE - IPC could theoretically be sued if I posted on HHO that 'Joe Bloggs murdered my postman' if Joe hadn't been found guilty by the courts.

And before anyone goes mad, it's the law, not me!

Aaaaand Ldg just explained it much better than I did

Sorry, bit random, but didn't want to mention horses, dressage or rollkur, you know how jumpy this place has been lately...and of course, that post would have theoretically appeared in Soapbox

Exactly, well said CaveCanem!!!

Also would like to add BD have not banned people posting about Rollkur.

BD have just asked that the Blue Tongue incident is not discussed at this moment in time by members while the FEI investigates.

Rollkur is a terrible practise & one i really hope is banned, but i do support BD's action about the Blue tongue incident atm.
