Has anyone done this? Was it worth it?

As Hartpury is 10 minutes down the road it would be very do-able for me (assuming they are out of quarantine by then...!!) but I’m not sure really who it is aimed at - it looks quite ‘grass roots’ ish but is it mega competitive like JAS always seems to be?

I’m wondering if it would be easier to hire a local SJ venue and go there with my trainer to get the same effect :)

If you have a good trainer ,stick with them.It also pays to remember that some of the "lesser" names have achieved the almost impossible with complete dobbins . They may not have won but simply to get round can be an achievement.

Having read the itinerary I'd do what you say and hire a local venue and go with your instructor. Sounds like you'd get way more riding time for your money.

Usually a lot of money for not very much. I'd stick to your instructor who knows you and your horse and you won't be intimidated/put off by the others in the group( as is what usually happens to me!)
