My sharer is from NZ and wants to send a horsey friend back home a "British" gift for her Birthday. She's asked me for ideas and I'm stumped as I don't really do horsey "gifts", I just buy necessities and I'm also not sure of what we have here that isn't available in NZ.

The only thing I can think of is a Joules Mary King polo shirt. Any other thoughts please?

Something from the John Whitaker range?

Having talked to my sharer it seems the eventers are better known in NZ that the show jumpers so I think Mary King would be better but thanks for the thought.

I did ask whether they have the Mark Todd stuff out there and apparently they do but not as big a range as over here!

I recently sent a foreign friend of mine something horsey and British for Christmas, I chose a Tweed headband from;

Plus I got her the 60 Years of Badminton DVD from Equestrian Vision, only problem with that was she had to go out and buy a region free DVD player;

One very happy friend! Good luck, I hope you find something suitable :)

That's a great idea, especially with NZ heading for winter. Thanks both

My sharer wants to take a nice athletic type Sec D stallion back with her. I think my Welsh ways are rubbing off on her :D
