Saw something at the british open last night that I thought you might find funny. Perhaps you saw it also? If you can't - can you guess who it was?
There was loads of empty seats last night. Probably about a third of them. The row in front of us was completely empty when two people came in and sat in the middle with about ten seats of either side of them. About a minute later one of our top British Riders came and sat with them.
They are sitting there talking between themselves and we were nudging each other to go and get his autograph. Just as we were about to get up and ask, two girls walk in with tickets in their hand which we thought they were going to ask him to sign. We said to each other "Oh that's ok. They're going to ask, we can stand behind them".
Instead they said "You're in our seats. Can you move please".
Really made us laugh. There must have been ten empty seats next to him plus empty seats all around. But instead of sitting a couple of seats down for a minute they ask him to move.
Made us laugh all evening. However, were also miffed we never got to get his autograph.
Did anyone else see it? Has made us giggle all day remembering it.
