hi all,
i have just been and bought a new pony! she is absolutely amazing and i am so i love with her! she is just a baby and unbroken but i absolutely knew she was the girl for me. she is a welsh sec D, bred from Nebo black magic lines and i can see she has loads of potential to be great! she picked me too, she kept following me round the field and resting her head on my shoulders, we both felt a bond straight away!
only problem is i clearly fell in love too quickly and didnt think too practically. i have been loking for the right pony/horse for around 7 months now and got a bit over excited when i went to see this mare. She was advertised as 14.2 and at 4 years i figured would grow to around 14.3, maybe(if lucky!) pushing 15 hands. i have just been over to see her for the second time to check she is ok (not moving yards until next saturday) and thought, hmm she looks a little small to be 14.2 so i measured her. bless my little angel, she is only 13.3, nearly 14h! noooo! cant believe i didnt pay more attention to such an important detail!
needless to say, i am starting slimming world! i am 12 stone
and there is no way i am getting on her! a friend of mine was going to back her anyway, then she will be turned away for the winter. that gives me a year to lose about 2.5 stone!
hopefully my girl will fill out and fill up a bit by then too.
if not, i will just enjoy having her around and my mum can ride her. gutted.
