OK I managed 62.5% at my affiliated Prelim at the weekend, Pony was very naughty in the warm up but did a fantastic test.

At the end I was so pleased with him, square halt I gave him loads of pats and the next rider came into the arena before I had left and he spooked and cantered forward. The judge changed his final mark from a 7 to a 4 and said a shame - It cost him definatly one place and possibly two as I would have been on the same mark as 3rd but not sure about the collective thing??

I showed my trainer and friend a judge (List 4) as it was on camera and they could not believe it. He spooked so long after I had finished that its not on the video.

It was just a bit of a shame to the end of the day but at least I have got a qualifying test for areas. It was only his 5th affiliated test and he is a baby so really pleased but annoyed.

Am I being unreasonable thinking its unfair?

Was the spook after you halt, as you were leaving? Shouldn't have been marked down for that, surely?!

Well done though

He spooked after the halt but I had not moved off on a free rein but my friend who was a judge said it was unfare to. I was so pleased as the rest of the sheet I only got 6 and 7's on.

Even my husband was pleased and he has been getting a bit fed up that we had not won a dressage test yet!

Woohoo Well done, sounds a little harsh but what test was it? Some of them count leaving in the final movement so if thats the case can kinda understand. But well done tho!

Bluegates - decided not to enter the short arena as my horse likes to gallop out of the open gate and think I was a lot more relaxed just doing the long arena.

Thanks
