Just not my day, only 4 weeks since my 2 Ops and still recovering slowly, numpty helped when she should of just walked by

Horse had put its front legs up on tack locker and through windows, two of us I thought just there to keep horse calm till owner got there, other person opened head guard and horse jumped up on tack locker and yes me not being quick, horse fell on me squashing me against wall and popping my right shoulder out, Q my arm hanging limp, yes the recently operated arm and then a pop as it went back in, I have never experienced such pain, also elbow cut near op site.

Ambulance called loads of gas which did not even touch pain, long and short nothing broken but suspected rotator cuff injury, muscle and ligs damaged, lots of swelling, nice wound and back monday for MRI

Sling is pressing on wound, can't get arm far from body and pain still coming in waves

So lesson learnt, don't help esp with someone you don't know, work are going to kill me, just went back last week.

Any words of wisdom from anyone who has done something similar?

Well, you've already been chastised by me so I'll spare you.

But if you're taking anything serious for pain (or as serious as they'll give you in this country) then don't drink - being sick to your stomach won't add anything positive to your experience!!

If you're able to with the other issues to the arm, ice the area - 10 mins a time, 4 times a day.

Rest it, and lay off the wine (I know, I know, it's cruel!).

And don't be so nice in the future

Oh poor you mega sympathies from me. I helped a friend out tonight and am now sat nursing a very sore back and knee after thier pony tried to take me sking through a very wet field, long story would have posted pics for a laugh (me looking very muddy), but phone is refusing to down load them. Certainly nowhere near as bad as your injury!

One thing that may help is a TENS machine, I bought one afew weeks ago from LLoyds pharmacy to help with my over used back and Fairycakes totally messed up ankle, it has helped us both no end and has reduced the intake of pain killers to a minimum.

Hope you mend quickly.

Ouch hope they pumped you full of morphine and sent you home with codeine or/ and tramadol!

*healing vibes coming your way!*

My top tip - if you've got good drugs invest in senakot or exlax!

Thank you everyone, I'm sat here with a tens machine on, helping a little

Will have to see what they say tomorrow?
Just cleared out the car for its MOT that was clearly too much as even using good hand it hurt like stink

Oh poor you, that sounds mega painful

OH dislocated his shoulder for the first time years ago. It kept coming out, eventually to the stage that sneezing or turning over in bed would pop it out. He once dislocated it at 100ft below the surface while scuba diving

About 3 years ago he had it operated on to tighten the rotator cuff. This worked well and he had pretty much full movement. Unfortunately one day my youngster tossed her head violently while he was leading her, and it popped out again

. He was told that if he had surgery again it would restrict his movement, so he decided against it as he's a keen mountain biker. Instead he went for intensive physio, which touch wood, seems to have worked.

He still has to be a bit careful - we were in Thailand a few weeks ago and he had to watch when having Thai Massage, which simulates various yoga poses; but hopefully we're on the home stretch. I don't think he'll ever lead my youngster again though

Certainly it can be a complicated injury with a long recovery, but the key is not to let it get worse! Physio might be your best bet as soon as you can? Good luck, and look after yourself.

Flippin bloody heck !
I hope you got some sleep.
Im hope the owner was mega greatful - please dont tell me she returned to the lorry with a bacon roll and a cup of tea !
I wont send you a hug cause that would hurt, but vibes for a quick recovery on their way.
