Broken Dock???

I had the physio out to have a check up on my 4 year old yesterday and she found her dock to be broken and was confused about how she could have done it.

Has anyone else had the same experiences?

There is an earlier post about a potential broken 'tail bone'.

If its a recent injury, get the vet out as the nerves and blood vessels could be pinched/damaged. If she has had it before you got her, probably not a lot can be done, but again seek advice from a vet to be on the safe side.

Thanks hb6, my physio didnt seem too worried about it, although I have a feeling this is an old injury along with other symptoms she used to object to having her tail brushed when I first bought her but as I didnt have daily contact with her (my friend loaned her) I never noticed, which I feel really guilty about... Anyhow the vet will be coming out to check it out and physio is coming back in two weeks... I will look at the previous tail bone post.

Its a shame her tail has been damaged, but its not your fault and you were the one who noticed it and tried to help.

I am sure your vet will be able to advise you. Maybe he could sedate her and reset it? I do not know, but you are doing everything you can for her and she is a very lucky girl.
