I no longer have a horse but before she went to a new home, she managed to break 17 wooden field posts that are internally attached to the wire fencing (if that makes sense!) They have snapped in the ground. The fencing belongs to the farmer next door, and we need to get it fixed asap before the cows come back into that field. As it is damage to someone else's property, is this something that could be claimed on 3rd party insurance (BHS Gold) ? Haven't been in this situation before, and I've never had to make a claim, so this is all new to me! Any help appreciated, thank you :)

I have no idea.
I can see why it could, you have damaged someone else's property. But then can also see it not being covered.
So the only oprion is to call your insurers and ask.
Have a look through uiyr paperwork tonight.
It might give you an idea.

Buy 17 fenceposts and hammer them in to the ground next to rotten posts, use staples to attach them, borrow mel from farmer. It is not an insurance claim, it is wear and tear.

^ This, posts will be about £2.50 each, your excess would be more. As you know your horse damaged them do the right thing and get the fence mended.
