Broken me!

I got thrown off on Sunday and broke my ankle. My first question in A&E? How long until I can ride again!

Not sure. It's too swollen for them to put in plaster at the moment. Go back to the fracture clinic tomorrow. Was one hell of a buck - didn't know he had it in him!

My instructor broke her ankle earlier this year and was told the plaster cast would be on for at least 13 weeks because she was over 60. 6 weeks later she sawed it off with a bread knife and promptly booked herself in for the next dressage competition which she won.

Hope it's not too painful for you

I broke my collar bone when I was 13 after my pony bucked. I was told I had to have it in a sling for 6 weeks......had it in sling for 2 weeks and then got back on him.

Poor you, what a b*gger. I asked the same thing when I went to see the surgeon about my nose op. First question was Am I ok riding, second was, how long do I get off work.

Know exactly how you feel. I broke my leg (in 3 places) back in June. Came out of plaster yesterday after 13 weeks. Can't wait to get back on!
