Broken Peeps - Whinge Fest

I'll have a whinge too! I have a trapped nerve in my lower back, and I am completely flattened by it. I'm usually pretty stoic, but the pain is making me squeak!!!

can I join in?
still in hospital and the old dear in the next bed snores.
I've not slept more than an hour or two since Monday night because of the noise and the pain.

*sniffle* :o

I sympathise fully, whinge away everyone:)

I broke my knee at the end of September. The cast came off last week and I'm desperate to be able to drive. I've been working from home and have only managed to see my horse twice in nearly 8 weeks. Me and horse are getting fat and unfit together. I feel like a prisoner in my own home although I did manage to take the dog for a short walk today which is a major achievement.

A couple of times I've got so down and frustrated I just burst into tears. A good cry always makes me feel better.

I hope everyone is back up and about soon.

Can I join in? Came off 2 weeks ago and knocked myself out. A couple of days later, when the headache/nausea wore off I realised my bum and back hurt! Dr said suspected fractured coccyx, but I didn't see the point in spending a morning going for xray, as they can hardly put it in a sling!
I saw the chiropractor today, who said I've also tilted my pelvis, and torn muscles in my back. :(
I managed a short ride last Saturday, after throwing strong painkillers down my neck, but now don't know what to do about tomorrow!

Man Up Princesses ;)

:D

pmsl thats what OH said to me earlier, well he didn't call me a princess because he's not that brave;)
I fell out of the old lorry back that i keep my hay in yesterday and twisted my ankle, if i hadn't have been gritting my teeth and swearing with the pain i'd have probably found it funny as i faceplanted flat out in the wet leaves:o
I'm now sat with my foot up on the coffee table on a very princess like lilac cushion:D i can hobble about but from my knee down i feel like my leg belongs to someone else:eek:

I'm with you there JHoward, except in my case only since August. It gets wearing and I've cried quite a lot this week.

For all you fellow clapped-out ninnies out there, have a good cry. Preferably in reach of a sympathetic dog :)

Achilles tendon hell here *whinge* will be months before it is better *wallow* nobody seems to understand how painful it is *pout*

*cracks open Christmas biscuits* :D

I do!! Because as well as my trapped nerve, I have been hobbling around with a hole in my Achilles tendon for the last 5 months! It's horrid!

*hand up* me too.

This flare up really isn't doing away like it should and the pain killers aren't helping do off be k down the docs.

Also waiting for next app for ankle joint injections as the other set wore off 7 weeks ago, I did have 4 months pain free tho:).
:( plus the swelling in mums foot isn't going fown( long story to do with ankle fusion, titanium in foot and body rejecting metal work so on antibiotics till ankle has fused to the point of taking it out) so that's another worry.

does anyone have a dog I could borrow? :o
I would normally settle for crying into my horse's neck but somehow I don't think going anywhere near donks is a good idea while I'm still wobbling on my crutches

hope everyone is on the mend. :)

Aww well on the plus side my three months recovery from elbow surgery is almost up and feeling like I can ride as soon as new saddle arrives, hoorah! It has gone by much quicker than I thought, hang in there convalescents :-)

I feel for you all, I have huge bruises on lower leg ..... From falling in pot hole in dark!!!
You know what, if we were horses we would have been put to sleep ages ago!!! Lol

Partially dislocated shoulder, ligament damage and bruised muscles .. Very achey and bored :( blood_magik you are more than welcome to borrow the whingey greyhound he will do anything for food!

Rotationally dislocated and spiral open fractured finger :(

Didn't hurt when I did it, but I certainly heard it! Looked down and the tip of my ring finger was touching my index finger :P

Was actually relieved when I found out it was 'just a broken finger' but it's so damn complicated!! Been in a cast 5 weeks already so that hand is out of action, I've lost my job because of it, I can't knock it or I'm at risk of having it amputated and I have to wait another 10 days to find out if despite 6 weeks of healing I have to have it operated on. I don't really care that it looks twisted (the middle phalanx is so broken they didnt want to fiddle with my dislocation too much so the top section of my finger is twisted round) but at the moment its coming over the top of my middle finger so I can't grip :/

I am literally driving myself MAD! I recently moved to live with my boyfriend and I have no friends nearby, I can muck out very slowly but not ride, job applications take up most of my time and I can't swim to keep fit :(

But the way I'm trying to look at it is that there's always somebody out there much worse off than me :)

Can I join in? Not broken through injury but have been ill this year, in and out of hospital in the spring then nine days in during August. Still no definite diagnosis, lots of tests and scans including a horrendous lumbar puncture. Seeing the neurologist again next week so keeping fingers crossed for some positive news as I'm struggling not being able to drive/walk properly etc and unable to work as my balance seems to have deserted me so handling horses and riding is too risky :(

Hope everyone starts to feel better / mend soon, in the mean time post lots of interesting things on here to keep me occupied :)

i feel your pain i was in a cast for 12 weeks, not allowed to use left arm atall.. and ive now got a tip of my finger dislocated ... awaiting an op to pin it, thats after breaking a bit of bone off, and in 2 and managing to rupture the entire tendon structure of my hand/wrist arm..

ive said it before.. bloody horses"!!!

I'll join in too, left knee is 6 inches bigger than the right due to loose bits wandering about, waiting for an arthroscopy, can't walk, drive or do my horses and in spite of several phone calls to GP, consultant and the rest of the world the NHS don't give a stuff that time off could cost me my job! All I get back is that I am on the waiting list!

Whinge over! :) Hope everyone is feeling better very soon!

Oh my word some of you are really in the wars may you all mend quickly. My whinge is nothing compared to most of you but I have broken one of my molars and it is very sharp and painful. I have to wait till 5 before I can see our dentist. Face is throbbing and the pain killers don't seem to have kicked in yet. The worst thing was I was only drinking a glass of water! How the heck did that happen.
