Broken Tail.....

My mare's tail is fairly broken& we're planning on showing but it looks pretty bad paited!!

- wonderd if anyone has any solutions or remedies to help it stay stronger :) thankss....

My TB got his tail shut in the stable door and broke his dock the day before I went to pick him up having just bought him!
He broke his dock towards the end of his tail not at the body end. I did show him in ridden hunter and he dressaged to AM but I had to plait his tail very sneakily to hide the break (it stuck out), as I was told by judges in both disciplines that he was tense when his tail was not plaited and the bump showed and it looked like he had tension by his tail not hanging down in a relaxed state due to the break.
I used to plait it short of the break and have the turn under over the bump and no one ever suspected after that!
