*Broken Zip!!!!* Long Leather Boots GRRRRR!

Does anyone know anywhere which fixes long leather boot zips? My obese leg burst its way out of my Rectiligne (sp) boot today and I'm really annoyed because I've only worn them about 5 times but I've had them over a year so cant take em back. The zip burst so needs a new zip me thinks.

Desperate as cant afford any more!

R - if they have very little sign of wear, I would still try to take them back - they shouldn't break after such little use (assuming you haven't really had to squeeze yourslef in to them - I struggle to believe it having seen you!).

If you do need to get them done yourself, I would guess a good shoe menders can to it.

Gibsons saddlers in newmarket do a very good job!

the same happened to me, and my boyfriend took them to a shoe mender place, and they did a crap job and the zipe broke again! luckily i have now found the manufactures adress and can send them there to be fixed!

My sister took hers to a high st shoe place in town and they did it

depends where you live. A place in Taunton replaced our zip, very quick and reasonable and do mail order..

I have just had the same thing with my long boots and I live in Kent, this company is based in Sidcup but they do mail order repairs to and think if I remeber it works out at £40 per zip, haven't dropped mine off yet!
