Well we decided to be brave, and take all our babies out for their first ever show today!! We took Lavender (aka quantum entanglement), owned by appyjude; Harvey (aka Orange Monster) owned by Munchie, and Teddy (aka CVS Hot Business) owned by HorseGroupie.
The first horse was Lavender, who was ridden by Munchie in P14. She took everything in her stride, and warmed up beautifully outside. When she went in the indoor arena she was terrified! She had never been indoors before, so had lots to look at!
She did some fab trot work, but couldnt get into canter!
she was being far too nosey to do that!
Anyway the trot work made up for her lack of canter and she still got in the high 50's Well done Munchie!
Next in was Harvey ridden by me in the same test. He was a star, but in the warmup he managed to pull off a shoe!!
We decided to carry on anyway, as it didnt bother him, and he did a beautiful test and was unfazed by everything.
We where very happy, but could not believe it when we went to pick up hios score and he had won the class overall with 69.4%!!! What a star!
Teddy was in P18. He also warmed up beautifully and coped really well with lots of mares in the warmup. He was terrified of the judgees box in the arena, but got into the swing of things and did a nice test. He still finds the canter work hard as he has just had a growth spurt so is bum high at the moment. The judge commented on what a nice horse he is when we left te arena, and she gave him 65.4% and 3rd place in the open section.
Heres some pics of teddy warming up, proper pics of them all tomorrow once me and munchie have caught up on our sleep!!!
