Has anyone's horse on here bronced with a le mieux saddle pad on? (And only le mieux pad, not with others or with no pad at all).

My saddler pointed out the rough seam on the inside of my LM pad. He showed me how to literally hammer it soft (put the pad over a wall and just pummel the seam with a hammer) and said he always tells people to do this with LM pads. (The seam at the top/back that sits under the cantle)

Oh god - - had closer look at mine and see what you all mean. No wonder she bucked, the stitching and ridges along the top must have been digging in - it's pretty rough just rubbing my hand along it so can't imagine how uncomfortable it must be pressed against your back under a saddle.
I feel terrible lol, upsetting my horse just because I am shallow enough to want a pretty coloured pad.
Ah well. Can stick it on eBay.
Will try without a pad tonight and see what she does. If she broncs again will obviously get the vet out though but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the saddle pad considering she's never bronced ever until having that on.
Thank you folks.

having had NO problems for years i now have one pony(chesnut gelding, doesnt get rubbed by anything else!) that gets rubbed pink by them so i sold them all and replaced with PS of Sweden or Rider by Horse pads!!!!!

My mare hates them, she likes their work pads - she is a total diva tho - she doesn’t like boots if any kind and no nose and that has a caverson part to it (no matter how loose) she only will wear a drop tbh ... she’s a bit of a sensitive soul so I thought it was just her

Nope it's not just yours! Mine's not bothered about anything but she took about three steps with the le mieux pad on and then went straight up in the air. NEVER EVER done anything remotely like that before.

I fancied one of the Le meiux, but the gullet seam was awful, I discounted it.

I have a Griffin Nuumed that is wool right through. Soft, fluffy, no seams and easier to look after and dry too.

It's crazy that they don't improve the quality considering how popular they are (they're pricey too)

Some Horses can be so picky about What they like under their saddles .
We have one who goes nuts if you get on him in a dead sheep numah he likes a wintec rear raiser that makes my saddler winch over a numed memory foam numah .put the saddle on and it does not need a rear raiser but that is what he likes .
