Had a busy weekend with both Hils and Blitz out competing.

Well yesterday was Blitz's turn and we went to Brook Farm to do two novices.

Have never been before and it is a really lovely venue which was immaculate and very well-run. We are planning to do their next competition in March.

Blitz had obviously heard me saying how easy Hillock was to do and decided that he wanted to be just like his big brother as he was an absolute star to do and get ready.

Had a really good run in the lorry and arrived in plenty of time so had a good look round.

He came off the lorry and was really good to get on and went in to a virtually empty warm-up which was a bonus. Warmed-up the best yet and went in.

He did a nice test, he is still a little green in the arean but is getting better all the time. He popped in a change instead of counter-canter and did a little buck in the second canter transition and practically fell over in the trot transition back from counter-canter.

However despite thise got 65.7% and won overall.

He then went back on the lorry and had a snooze.

He came off refreshed and when he went back into the warm-up, he was blown away but a tiny grepy pony and proceeded to stand up and wave at me! OH did a really good job of keeping him calm and focused but he admitted that he didn't warm as well as he could have done. He was mesmorised by the little pony for some reason!

Did the most fluid test yet with just one costly blip when he exploded into canter. He got 66.7% and finished 2nd overall and in the open.

Gutted he just missed out on qualifying but really pleased with how much he has matured in just a few outings.
Will post some pics later.

We had a lovely weekend, busy but the weather was lovely so it was great to be out.

Diva is feeling much better I think!

As soon as she heard the lorry on Saturday she started cantering round her box and rearing up!

Not bad going for someone with a bad back!!!!!!

Got the physio again on Thursday so hopefully she will see an improvement. Got the number of a back specialist from another forum user so going to send them an email and see what they say.

Yaayyyy for Blitz the Magic Dragon! Tell him that Dragons have nothing to fear from grey ponies!!! LOL.

Its so lovely when you go somewhere new and it turns out to be fantastic. Wish everywhere was like that.

It was quite funny because the he was watching it alll the time out of the corner of his eye. He loves Hils even thought he bosses him around and tells him off - maybe he thought he could finally get his revenge for the last two years of Hils trying to bite him!

Hopefully she will be better now, had her back done on Sat and there was some problems, which would explain her behaviour at present. Shall see how this week progresses now, if all goes well should be at Cobham on 24th for our first outing this year

Well done Blitz.

Shame about the scores though.......irritating when you get the score and don't win or win and don't get the score!!!
Still, with the green errors, you know there's much higher scores to come, especially when his mind is more on the job in hand!!!

Well done, I was there could have killed my horse she decided the jumps poles etc in the corner were a no go and mucked around the entire first test. The elem I thought went well but apparently not as I ended on 61% so wasn't very happy but what can you do.....
