I posted a while ago about Brooklyn's eye problems ... well he ended up being in hospital for nearly nine weeks, had lots of complications, and ended up having his eye removed last week

. However I finally brought him home this week and so far he is coping ok with having only one eye.

H&H have included a photo of him in this week's issue to illustrate a horse being treated using a lavage system

(p20 - article about eye problems); it was taken near the start of his treatment when he was looking good. It's nice to have made it into H&H, pity it's for something like this though.

I used to work with a horse with one eye in an animal sanctuary!
they coped fine!!! just remember which side its on, so you don't jump out at them by accident!

hope he continues to improve!

Hi M
you know you have my support .Ill be buying h and h to see how he is doing all the best J x
How is his colic

So far no more colic since Monday & hopefully that was just the stress / excitement of coming home. He's doing well so far, its easy to forget he's lost an eye. Still looks beautiful to me!
